Movie Review: Knives Out

Knives out is a murder mystery story about events following the mysterious death of a successful mystery writer, Harlan Thrombey. The movie follows Harlan’s nurse, Marta Cabrera. The movie opens effectively with suspenseful music eventually building up to the nurse's discovery of Harlan's death at the climax and end of the song which also ends the intro. The movie is very well structured as it introduces the character by very effectively demonstrating their character in a police questioning. The mystery movies makes effective use of plot twists and limits the information available to the audience just enough that the final reveal is a satisfying conclusion. The movie seems to have multiple climaxes until detective Blanc finishes the movie with a finally of plot twists, motive revelations and a subversion of what the audience has been lead to believe is the truth. 

This movie is quite entertaining as it keeps you on edge and will half in the dark, just when you think you know what's going on this movie will prove you wrong!
