Movie Review: The Matrix

The Matrix is my favourite movie of all time, the movie is heavily influenced by the philosophical treatise, Simulacra and Simulation, which even appears in the movie when the main character 'Neo' is seen stashing money in a hollowed out space in the book. The movie follows a computer hacker by the alias of Neo who works in a respectable computer programming company by day but spends his nights sleepless, searching the for a renowned hacker known as Morpheus. Beyond the philosophy of simulation, the movie features bullet time, an editing effect which has since become wildly popular with action films.

This movie is a fantastic cyberpunk, sci-fi action film with fantastic fighting choreography. The movie, and entire trilogy for that matter, feature a ton of satisfying hand-to-hand combat integrated well with firearms.

This movie is one of the greatest movies ever made and my writing cannot do it justice.
If you somehow have not seen this movie, watch it now! If you have, watch it again!
